Now Hiring: Electrician (309A)/4th or 5th yr Apprentice
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- On-site installation, retrofit, test, and servicing responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of electrical equipment installations.
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, distribution switches, breaker panels, conduit 1โ โ 2โ EMT, install fire alarm components, teck cable and service cables.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose existing lighting fixtures and systems
- Performing routine preventative maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned
- May be required to travel and work weekends, nights if required by customer
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate of Qualification as a 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician
- 4th or 5th year Electrician Apprentice
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and all other applicable legislation required.
- Time Management
- Organizational skills ยท Ability to work independently as well as work in a team setting.
- Must have a strong command of the English language, both verbal and written
EXPERIENCE
- Must have a minimum 4 year experience in the electrical field
